The fruit for Ma Danseuse is grown in specific blocks of our Seaview estate vineyard. This is the northern most section of the vineyard. It is also the coolest, as the marine influence coming from the north, following the Gualala River, is most concentrated here. In addition, Ma Danseuse faces subtly more toward the north and therefore receives slightly less sun exposure than Clos du Ciel or Le Caprice. Ma Danseuse translates to "My Dancer", and was named by Sir Peter in honor of Lady Michael. The two met on the dance floor. Ma Danseuse is the most feminine of the botttlings, aptly reflecting the charm of its namesake.
